CrossFit is the principal strength and conditioning program for many police academies and tactical operations teams, military special operations units, champion martial artists, and hundreds of other elite and professional athletes worldwide. The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience.
It’s fun because you never know at Mako Crossfit gym who will be leading the WOD (Workout of the day). Our instructors are here to provide you with a varying Crossfit workout and to help you achieve your goal. If you are starting out and getting back in shape, losing weight, general health or are preparing for the Crossfit games, we are your fitness center. Our trainers at Mako Crossfit will help with not only WOD but modality, primal eating, and general health.
Our ON-RAMP classes will prepare you for our regular CrossFit classes by introducing you to CrossFit fundamentals with proper technique and positive progression.
I look forward to getting to know each of you and help you channel your inner beast, because like I said, anyone can CrossFit, and everyone has a beast inside of them, you may just need an extra nudge to wake it up. Doug is a Gulf Breeze native that has spent all of his years at or near the beach. He is a Level 1 certified CrossFit instructor that has been involved in the sport for just over four years. While attending Gulf Breeze High School, Doug was selected to participate on a Florida select soccer squad that competed on an international level. Doug is a graduate of the University of Alabama and also has a Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of West Florida.
Brandon is a student of human movement, as noted in his motto: “I do everything to never stop learning and improving my skills as both an athlete and a coach. I promise that if you work hard for me, I will always work harder for you”.
